So America is a great place, a land of oppertunity, a land of achievers, ......and now once again the holders of the title of the hotdog eating competition. Now, I know this is old news, it happened on July 4th.....but I didn't have access to my computer at the time and I think it needed mentioning, as it is one of the most intense sports out there.Chestnut (66) beats Koby (63)
Joey Chestnut of San Jose, Calif.,won the International Hot Dog Eating Contest, beating former champion Takeru Kobayashi and setting a new world record by downing 66 Nathan’s Famous hot dogs and buns in 12 minutes.
Kobayashi, (pictured above throwing up at the end) the six-time hot dog-eating world champion ate 63 HDBs, eight more than his personal best. He and Joey were neck and neck until the final moments of the contest. But Chestnut pulled through and gave America back the much anticipated title. Rach...this ones for you since you appriciate a good dog.

they were having a hot dog eating competition at az mills mall earlier this summer & i totally wanted to go, but i forgot. bummer. this is really funny though! thanks for the update on the winner!

it was not gross erica...it was one of the most heroic and brave things i have ever seen. Joey Chestnut is a patriot and brought back pride to this great nation. I personally watched this program live with my boy Zach Kellar and we witnessed the world record. Casey tremendous post and way to hit the big news for us. Americans have the fattest country and now we even have the mustard belt. Good things
