On Friday i was at Disneyland, the happiest place on earth. While there i had sheer joy come over me and i thought to myself in all sobriety, Walt would be so proud of this place- what it has become. I mean yes, the hopper ticket is now $83.95 for one singular day which can tick one off a bit, but you walk in and the thought is gone....you're there.... in a place that invokes a child-like feeling out of you that comes only second to Christmas morning and few other things.
While there i had a couple firsts, one being that i ate a the blue bayou (the restaurant that you can see from the pirates of the carribean ride (which now has three jack sparrows that you have to find hidden in the ride). I also got to go on finding Nemo. The lines were horrendous so come early folks....but it was a cute ride. Also at Califfornia Adventures i went to the animation studio that teaches you had to draw a cartoon among many other things. They also have machines that take your picture and ask you questions to tell you what disney character you are most like and also records your voice over some lines so that you are the voice to the character on screen. It is really fun. You must go there when you go.
My nephew and neice left to go over there a few minutes ago and i could see the intensity of joy over Cotter's 3 year old face when he was told he was going to go see mickey mouse (which he pronounces mousssshhh). And i'm right there with the kid, wish i was going again with him. Great place, Walt would definately be proud.
